CNC / Laser your own trim router baseplates for increased stability while cutting or profiling with your palm router.

This baseplate can also work as support for a drop-in style mini router table. These small router tables work particularly good when routing smaller parts; where it is easier and safer to bring the workpiece to the tool.

This digital download router baseplate is designed to fit the RIDGID R2400, R2401, 24012, R86044 fixed router base models.

THIS IS NOT A PHYSICAL PRODUCT. DOWNLOAD WILL BE AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING PAYMENT THROUGH ETSY.

All files have been cut and confirmed to fit the actual routers they were intended for.

Typically these aftermarket baseplates are made from .1/4" - 3/8" Clear Acrylic. Any material would work as long as your CNC / Laser can handle it. HDPE plastic works great. Another inexpensive alternative is plastic cutting boards found in big box stores as well as Amazon.

A small chamfer or roundover is recommended on all edges to help with baseplate sliding on material. Even a small edge-break with some 220 grit sandpaper works. This is not completely necessary but something I have always done.

I have included 3 standard router base shapes:
- 5.75" Round
- 5.75" Square
- 5.75" 1/2 Square-Round

The outer profiles can be resized and reshaped to fit any specific application.

File Download: 1 ZIP FILE containing the following -
- svg - dxf - eps - pdf - ai- filetypes of all three shapes
- PDF explaining depths of cut and order of operations.

Although this file was created for my CNC it can be cut with a laser... you will have to find a means to countersink the through-holes on the face of the baseplate to accommodate the mounting screws. A countersink bit works great for this.

* Please note thicker baseplates more than 1/4" may require longer mounting screws.

** It is also recommended that you do a test cut on scrap material and place your stock baseplate on that to check for fitment. Tolerances may need to be adjusted slightly due to CNC machine variations.
